Los Angeles based singer/ songwriter/ producer, Leven Kali has dropped a video for his December released single “Homegirl” featuring Smino and Topaz Jones. Check out the video, directed by Alexandra Gavillet, below.
In “Homegirl” Leven’s sound is both nostalgic and forward thinking, reflecting the many different cultures and backgrounds that make up his personal identity. The song is due to feature on upcoming new project Hi Tide out this spring.
“Homegirl” arrives on the heels of Leven’s 2019 spring released album, Leven Kali: Low Tide which included Leven’s coveted single “Do U Wrong” featuring Syd (The Internet,) which amassed over 36 million global streams, and received critical acclaim from Pitchfork, The New York Times, Billboard, i-D and more.
Following the release of Leven Kali: Low Tide, he had festival performances across the country at Outside Lands, Mad Decent Festival, BRIC Fest, Smokin Grooves Festival, and more as well as headlining shows in cities including London UK, New York, San Francisco, and Boston.
