Artist Teases Forthcoming Visual and Project
Hip-hop artist Kamaiyah (4Hunnid/Interscope Records) is ready to shake up the industry as she releases a brand new single, “Windows” featuring Quavo and Tyga. The long-awaited single comes just in time for the summer as the trio trades bars across the melodic thumping bass. Sonically, the Trackademics and Drew Banga-produced track is tailor-made for any west coast hip-hop purist, and serves as a perfect representation of Kamaiyah’s Oakland roots. “Windows” is the first release off of Kamaiyah’s forthcoming project.
Kamaiyah first made waves courtesy her two breakout mixtapes A Good Night in the Ghetto (2016) and Before I Wake (2017). Her talent secured her spot as part of XXL’s esteemed 2017 Freshman Class. She had an impressive 2018 with the release of the Mustard-produced “Addicted to Ballin’” featuring ScHoolboy Q, as well as a handful of noteworthy performances, including Coachella and South by Southwest. Kamaiyah received serious attention when she was tapped by Sprite to appear alongside Lebron James in the “Big Taste Cuts Through” commercial. The buzz carried over into 2019 where she took time to record and carefully plan out her new releases. “Windows” marks her return to the spotlight, with Kamaiyah even teasing the accompanying self-directed visual on Instagram; to be released soon. In addition to music, Kamaiyah is dedicated to women empowerment, community pride and musical authenticity.
