Dyme-A-Duzin's Long Awaited "Crown Fried" Album Is Finally Here
A few weeks ago, media giant, OkayPlayer, premiered Dyme-A-Duzin’s new “Crown Fried” documentary. The video put a spotlight on the Brooklyn rapper’s neighborhood of Crown Heights - the documentary also served as a precursor to his new album - which is out now! “Crown Fried” isn’t just the title of the long-awaited album, it’s a movement:

Despite his young age, Dyme, is a seasoned artist whose mind set is far more mature than most - he’s in this for more than just music charts and clout. Over the years, we’ve watched him grow as an artist and entertainer; leading an indie movement that remains unmatched in his home city of New York. “Crown Fried” debunks the theory that we are not defined by our circumstances nor confined by them.
The 16-track album opens up with an ode to “The Heights,” as Dyme lets his story unfold over a mellow production that opens with eerie strings that melt into the background throughout the opening track. “Crown Fried” switches up a bit on track 3, as the Brooklyn rapper unloads confident raps over a bold, Trap beat. The energy carries over into track 4’s, “Lit Like a Video.” And sustains throughout the album’s remaining 12 records. Before the album closes out, Dyme includes a guest feature from the late, Capital Steez, on “The Rebirth.”
Overall, Dyme continues to prove why he’s not just one of Brooklyn’s finest, but a resilient force to be reckoned with.
