"Like That" By Kris Wu Jumps To #37 On The Billboard Hot 100
VIDEO STARRING SUPERMODEL STELLA MAXWELL OUT NOW

“Like That”—the new single from Chinese recording artist, songwriter, producer, and actor Kris Wu has debuted at #37 on the Billboard Hot R&B/ Hip-Hop Songs Chart, after debuting at #73 on the Hot 100 chart last week. The song also reached #1 on the US iTunes Chart immediately following its release on May 18. Out now on Ace Unit/ Interscope Records, “Like That” is Wu’s first release since signing an exclusive international recording agreement with Universal Music Group (UMG) and follows his previous hit “Deserve” featuring Travis Scott.

On May 22, Wu premiered the video for “Like That.” Featuring British supermodel Stella Maxwell, the video was hailed for its “blazing visuals” in Billboard and has gained over 12M views to date. Co-written by Wu and produced by FKi 1st (an Atlanta-based producer/writer known for his chart topping hits like Post Malone’s “White Iverson,” and 2 Chainz “Watch Out”), “Like That” is built on a sophisticated arrangement of trap drums, seductive melody and rhythmic dance grooves. With Wu delivering his signature harmonies, the lyrics describe “seeing a beautiful girl across the room and taking a chance on what could happen next,” according to Wu.

Last October, Wu became the first-ever Chinese artist to reach #1 on the US iTunes Chart, thanks to the smash success of his single “Deserve” ft. Travis Scott. Along with breaking the Top 40 on US Rhythmic radio, “Deserve” has racked up more than a billion streams globally to date.

One of Asia’s biggest stars, the 27-year-old Wu was born in Guangzhou, China. Over the past two years, he’s gained an international following with a series of viral hits that he co-wrote and co-produced (including “July,” “6,” “B.M.,” and “Juice”). With those tracks amassing millions of plays online and attracting a major fanbase in the US, he’s also starred in movies like XxX: Return of Xander Cage and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. In addition, he serves as a brand ambassador for BVLGARI and a global brand ambassador at Burberry (earning the distinction of being the first non-British person chosen to represent the luxury brand). Most recently, Wu was tapped as an ambassador for the NFL and became the first Chinese artist to perform at Super Bowl LIVE in February 2018.
