The inspiration behind Mama, I'm Ok came when Rebel moved from her hometown of Dallas, TX to the big city of NYC. The tracks on this project are a glance at EB Rebel’s thoughts during her first year in NY; and the emotions that come with being away from family and following her dreams. Pair the new changes with old, menacing mental health issues (she has a history of anxiety and depression) and you have a complex project of highs and the lows.
