The duo (photo: L-R Ricky & Anthony), originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina arrived in New York City a few years ago in quest of music prominence. “Connect” solidifies their ambition with its original flavor.
The song is catchy, charming and expands their growing collection of music. OG Dope Crew delivers swift lyrics over an 808-laced track with a knocking bass line. “Connect” celebrates the art of schmoozing. When asked about the single Anthony said, “Network. Make connects! Connect! Connect! That’s the name of the game!” Its visual interpretation reflects the duos fun, easygoing personas.
From somersaults on trampolines to impromptu dance routines, “Connect” is OG Dope Crew’s most entertaining music video to date. Their energy is reinforced with vivid color schemes used by directors, Javi Flame & Bacon. The groups lively approach to hip-hop is Kid N Play meets Rae Sremmurd. Ricky and Anthony each offer diverse flow patterns with unique vocals that creates a fresh sound for the hip-hop community.
