About The Don:

Baltimore rapper The Don represents everything it means to be a young boss coming up from the struggle. As owner of the recently founded record label, Rich After Welfare, The Don is making groundbreaking power moves in his new Atlanta location.

“This generation ain’t really got too many young bosses as far as rap goes, not since Jeezy or Yo Gotti,” The Don explains. “I want to be an influence on them. I want to show the young people that I got it so it’s possible for them.”

After rapping for a couple of years off and on, The Don got serious with his recording career and began creating music for an official release. With a solid list of songs ready for the project, The Don is currently preparing the premiere of his self-titled EP due out in fall of 2017.

The EP includes songs like “Dog Food” with Ralo, “Too Much Cash” featuring Money Bagg Yo and “Young Bosses” featuring Shy Glizzy. Heavyweight producers like London on the Track and MPC Cartel lend a hand on the instrumentals and give the track list a polished feel. The EP’s lead single, “Diamonds Dancin”, is currently gaining a regional buzz on the airwaves, in the club and at industry events like A3C.

“My music is a reflection of me shining,” The Don explains his worldwide appeal. “It’s millions of people in the world that can relate to that and the people love it.”

The young entrepreneur’s street smarts and charisma are quickly earning him a name in the southeast as well as in his hometown. His newly opened studio in Atlanta will serve to bridge the gap between Baltimore and the south.

“My long term goal is to have the biggest record label in the music industry,” he emphasizes. “I’m going to be a household name.”
