"24 We Working 24 We Building" Caribbean Relief Drive in Houston, TX
n the wake of the recent Caribbean widespread devastation caused by
several hurricanes, Virgin Island native, international soca artist Rudy
Live teamed up with Anatha foundation in support of "24 We Working 24
We Building" relief drive in Houston, Texas.
Herself reeling from the flooding in Houston, Texas, Rudy Live explained, "To see my friends and family members suffering tears me a part. We haven't had a major hurricane to hit the Virgin Islands since 1995, hurricane Marilyn was my first hurricane experience. Many nights we had no food and little to no water. We relied on our neighbors to supply us with what we didn't have. It was rough back then. It's even worse now because so many of our islands are presently toredn apart by both hurricanes within the matter of weeks."

Grace King, founder of Anatha, a 501c3 foundation helping teenagers in the Virgin Islands added "I
have worked with Rudy Live in the past on various give back projects in
St.Thomas and St.Croix through RudyLive Foundation. When I spoke to her
about joining forces with Anatha Foundation to help us provide food and
shelter to help the displaced families of Hurricane Irma and Maria in
the Virgin Islands and other Caribbean Islands she immediately jumped
on board ."
While the "24 We Working 24 We Building" Caribbean Support Relief Dive will be taking place Friday, September 29th at the Island Spice bar & Grill from 5pm until closing, the organizers will be taking donations everyday until Sunday, October 1st at 6pm.

All monetary donations are 100% tax deductible through the Anatha, 501c3
foundation, and help is needed by donating tea/coffee bags,
non-perishable food, dry snacks, water, cleaning supplies, toilet paper,
laundry products, towels/washcloths, socks, baby/adult diapers, trash
bags, tents, first aid kits and more (see full list on flyer).
