Empire Bahamas continues to bring their eclectic sound to the hip-hop scene with their new singles “Enlightened” and “Be Cool,” which are being released today.. “Enlightened” combines elements of R&B and hip-hop, while “Be Cool” offers a classic boom bap sound.
When listening to “Be Cool,” you will be drawn into a time warp of nineties hip-hop aesthetics. Sounds and beats that are reminiscent of The Lost Boyz. “Enlightened” on the other hand taps into the reggae and dub influences of the Caribbean, and will make you want to dance and groove. When asked about their music the group said, “We wanted to create something that no one else was doing where we were from. I mean after all, we all loved it. So we got a bit serious about it and really started perfecting our crafts. We were always hell bent on creating music that we feel just won’t ‘fly by’ or disappear from our memory in a month because we enjoyed the more lyrical artists.”
