The
video was shot by director and regular collaborator Joseph Wright of Grin &
Bear Films. With the track featuring a hard-hitting, dark and edgy production,
it was essential that the visuals translated this. MAF says, “Golden talks about the difficulties, challenges and
influences thrown at me by my surroundings during my teenage years. This song
is about knowing where I’m from, knowing where I’m going and knowing that
everything will be golden if I stay on the right path. The video picks up where
my last video left off and is very dark and alternative, which complements where
I was going with the track in terms of production."
Writing
and producing all of his own material, “Golden” reaffirms MAF’s commitment and
dedication to his artistry. “I am all about maintaining the art within my
craft”, he says. “I strongly believe in quality and originality – two things I work
hard to convey with all of my releases.”
Having
previously received BBC radio airplay and laid the foundations in the
underground music scene with prior material, including various collaborations, MAF is ready to take
his career to new heights, bolstered by fresh tracks and visuals that will be
