Europe is being consumed by the Islamic issue with regards to immigration and terrorism. What’s your position on the issue?
It’s really a hard issue to talk about. Because it’s crazy how many things are involved around this issue. I come from a country that always had issues with their immigration system and especially now, more than ever I think. But all this Islamophobic propaganda that is going on is just crazy and sad. Religion always has been a trigger to get people mad and have it as a shield for a lot of dirty things that are happening behind what the media shows us. We are facing a crisis caused by war, because of inequality ,poverty and global injustice. Nobody likes war. No matter your religion, color or sex. I am sure everyone wants to be with their loved ones having a decent living. So my position in the whole thing is that we need real peace and justice! Inform people! Don’t spread fear and welcome different ideologies and traditions. Innocent people being killed because of political interests and religion is just disgusting.
About the new single you said “In this world we all just wanna get whatever we want, but it makes us forget what we actually need.” What are some things you need?
Other than the essentials, (housing, food, clothing,etc), what I need is keeping myself healthy, openminded, and to have as many experiences and as much knowledge as I can. I need love, I need support,I need real friends, I need happiness. You know, the simple thing that the distractions of today make us forget how to get them and how they feel. And most important, to achieve all this while doing what I really love!
What’s your favorite rap album of all time and why?
I have so many! It’s crazy hard to choose just one! But I’d go with Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest. It’s just magnificent… Beats that is impossible not to bounce your head to! And the lyrical content in there is just life-changing.. Q-Tip is coming with his abstract amazingness! And Phife (R.I.P)…. No words… Phife Dawg’s flow and lyrics made me fall in love with hip hop and the album. The combination is just amazing. I always said, they don’t make music, they are making feelings! Game changing group. Game changing album. It’s one of those albums that you listen to and get goosebumps and a quick time travel to the first time you ever heard it!
Where do you think you excel: in the studio or onstage? And why?
I think in the studio. Just because of the creativity factor. I have so many ideas I put to work while in the studio. Trying new things the whole time, writing crazy verses, and having a non stop creative flow, creates a vibe that I love, and everyone that works with me can say the same. I love making new ideas into actions and that’s why I really love the creating process. But don’t get me wrong. You will get a hell of a show out of me, full of energy, connection with the audience and lots of quality music!
What would it take for you to sign a record deal?
It would take creativity freedom and a big and stable amount of support!! Financial and psychological! I really have to be able to roll with the team I’ll be with, 100% ! When you know someone believes in you and puts trust in your skills, you really try for the best! To benefit everyone surrounding you, that is puttin’ in work! Record deals are shady so u always have to watch out with what anyone is offering you!
