About Ladi G & Ya Boy Skolla

Emcees Ladi G and Ya Boy Skolla, of We A Problem, have released their first track of 2016, “Drop.” This is the latest from Ladi G since her 2014 mixtape T.E.R.D. (The Evolutionary Rap Diaries). For Ya Boy Skolla, “Drop” follows his 2015 mixtape Broken Silence.

Ladi G and Ya Boy Skolla are two pieces of the We A Problem hip hop brand, completed by R&B vocalist Stefon. Ladi G, hailing from Brooklyn, New York, pulls inspiration from the legends of her home borough - the likes of Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls and MC Lyte. “I want people to go away being able to connect with my music and respect where I’m coming from,” says Ladi G. “I want to leave them seeing things from my point of view, know how I feel, and what it means to be from Brooklyn.”

Ya Boy Skolla got his start learning from his older brothers in the studio in Brooklyn. Releasing his first mixtape, On A Block Near You, at age 15, he’s been on a roll ever since. His flow has taken him on tour across the country and has allowed him to open for artists like Joe Budden and Sean Paul. Ya Boy Skolla credits his Southern upbringing for his signature sound. “I was born in NY but raised in the South, so you're able to hear the best of both worlds in my music as a solo artist.”

“It“It was crazy; we bonded right away like family,” said Ladi G of her first meeting with Ya Boy Skolla. Their chemistry was the start of the We A Problem family. They collaborated on multiple tracks and bonded instantly. Ladi G and Ya Boy Skolla have already garnered attention for their tracks together. Their first single, "Look At Me," has over 20,000 views on YouTube, while their latest track "Get This Money", produced by Best Kept Secret/Flawless Tracks (Wale, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, MMG), is in rotation in dance clubs across the country.
