Salis "Money on My Mind"
[Charleston, SC-Feb. 20] Salis is back with brand new music. "Money on My Mind", produced by Mossberg Montana, is a club banger with a very catchy hook. In a few hours, we expect fans to be repeating, “I’m coming down clean, slamming Cadillac doors, with money on my mind, and I’m screaming f--- these hoes.” And maybe the Charleston, SC emcee should've steered clear of clichés... but who cares? We’ve been screaming “mind on my money, and my money on my mind” since 93 (per Snoop). And, today we’re still talking about more money, more cars and of course hoes.
Salis, however, makes it clear (through the Mossberg beat) that the “hoes” are insignificant. So #FTH! This also goes for his competition as he prepares to drop his next project. “Money on My Mind” is the first single on his forthcoming album; the album title and release date to be announced soon.
About Salis
Born in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Salis moved to Charleston, South Carolina during the mid 90s. He attended Goose Creek High school, where he excelled in football and received an athletic scholarship to Shaw University. He later transferred to Coastal Carolina University to continue his football career, but he dropped out during his junior year to work full time. In 2012, the former football player decided to “tackle” the rap game. Reflecting on his life, Salis began writing lyrics in his Cadillac DTS—creating his first EP Cadillac Chronicles in March 2014. Six months later, he released a five track follow up to the project titled Cadillac Summer. Inspired by artists like UGK, 8 Ball & MJG, Rich Boy, Outkast and Big Krit, he enjoys making country rap tunes, and music you can ride to; bloggers/local publications have become quite intrigued with his unique style of rapping.
“Salis is the Underground King of SC,” made known by Colors “The Network Man”, Co-Host/Founder of Those to Watch Radio Show.
