Southside Chicago singer/songwriter/producer/composer Marcus Kincy presents the self-directed music video for “10X Better”, his new self-produced single from 20s, his forthcoming debut EP set to drop on Life In Motion Entertainment. Mary J. Blige’s longtime keyboardist, Marcus has produced for Freddie Gibbs (listen to “B.A.M.” on Soundcloud), BJ The Chicago Kid (watch the video for “Perfect”), worked with Paris Carney (read the Spin article), and has toured with Keri Hilson and The Dream. “’10x Better’ is a record designed for the people with a specific, premium taste in music,” says Marcus. “Made with passion of the ’90s and the savvy of the current.” Marcus’ 20s EP drops spring 2015.
How long have you been singing? How did you get your start?

How did you connect with Mary J Blige? What’s it like working with her?
I connected with MJB through a musical mentor of mine and a legend in Chicago music, Rex Hardy Jr., who was her music director at the time. Shout out to Mario Moody for introducing me to Rex. Changed my life forever. Mary is such a legend. Such a powerful presence with a sweet spirit. Working with Mary produced some of the greatest times of my life. Salute to the queen.
