The Militia Drops Shade My Shine
South African producer The Militia unleashes his first single from his upcoming instrumental album ‘’Jordan Status’’. The South African beatsmith enlists Bronx lyricist Oswin Benjamin for one of the few feature cuts on the LP entitled Shade My Shine. Expect more dirty soul sampling on Jordan Status when it drops on 9 December 2014.

The Militia is a South African Hip-Hop producer with a distinct golden-era sound, known for chopping up old soul records and converting them into reminiscent 90's boom bap style beats. Drawing influences from DJ Premier, 9th Wonder and Apollo Brown, The Militia hold his own in the underground having worked with noticeable names such as Reef The Lost Cauze, Skyzoo, DJ Eclipse, Khrysis and more. Listeners will remember The Militia from his 2012 DJBooth.net hosted EP ''Timeless Classic'' that featured the likes of Skyzoo, Statik Selektah, The Legion and more.
