MMG's biggest boss, Rick Ross was in Atlanta recently promoting his upcoming LP Hood Billionaire. While in the city that he calls his second home, Ricky Rozay hosted a private event for some of Atlanta's biggest tastemakers. Ross and Def Jam put together a listening session at Sweet Auburn Seafood on Auburn Avenue; Atlanta's most historic streets for black owned businesses. HHS1987 was on the scene to check out the project and speak with Rick Ross for an exclusive interview.

During the engaging conversation the black bottle spokesman spoke on his forthcoming Hood Billionaire album and even detailed the title's meaning for critics and fans alike. He also gave us some insight on how a Hood Billionaire is measured by how they give back to the hood, not just by amount of money in their bank account.

The former Slip-N-Slide recording artist also spoke on his decision to release two albums in the same year, which a few hip hop legends such as2pac and DMX have managed to successfully pull off. Having released Mastermind earlier this year, Ross explained he wanted to deliver something new, something fresh that was specifically crafted for the hood and those who got it from the mud. If the fans want more music then who is he to deny them?

As far as features, the yet to be released 7th studio album from the Teflon Don is absent of any guest verses from the Maybach Music Group roster. Ross explained, that with Meek Mill currently incarcerated and Self Made 4 set to release early next year, this album was perfect for him to collaborate other prominent musicians outside of his camp.

On the subject of Meek and he confirmed the Dreamchasers frontman will drop his sophomore album when he is released from jail and he's currently working on a film that we'll learn more about next year. We also learned, in addition to his franchise of Wing Stop restaurants currently thriving on the east coast, the seasoned entrepreneur filled us in of his latest business endeavors including an endorsement deal with mCigelectronic cigarette company and his version of CrossFit he calls RossFit.

Before concluding the interview, the Florida native reflected on having the opportunity to take two inner city kids on a ride with him in streets of ATL; emphasizing that spending a few minutes with those who admire what you do is more important than simply sending or spending money. The interview was curated by HHS1987's Eldorado and filmed by HHS1987's BrianDaDirector. Big Ups to Kadife, Def Jam, Rick Ross andSav!
