After signing to Rostrum Records in 2014 and experiencing success with the debut of his first album Look Up, Mod Sun continues to gain momentum as an artist, expanding creatively with noteworthy collaborations. The name Mod Sun stands for "Movement On Dreams Stand Under None.” He adopted this mantra of empowerment in the hope that his listeners will abandon negativity in favor of a more positive outlook after listening to his work. His latest project promises to build upon the existing excitement surrounding Mod Sun’s developing career, while showcasing his abilities as a rapper.
When discussing the inspiration behind his new single, Mod Sun said, “There is nothing better than a song you can play while you're getting ready to go out, while you’re in the middle of a party, or while you are on your way home, hanging out the window of a cab. I've always wanted one of those songs. “We do this sh**" is it. The beat reminds me of flashing lights and the flows put on top of it came very naturally. The way it all came together was meant to happen. I texted Dej Loaf and within 24 hours she sent her verse back. She is one of my favorite artists and it's very exciting to have her as a part of my new sound.”
